Controller Tester

This little corner of the web is about testing game controllers in the browser — no installs, no drivers. Modern browsers can read a connected gamepad through the Gamepad API, so a plain web page can show you exactly what your sticks, buttons, triggers and rumble motors are doing, and the input never leaves your machine.

What stick drift actually is

An analog stick reports its position as two numbers running from about -1.0 to +1.0. At rest they should sit near 0.0 — but never exactly zero; there is always a little electrical noise. Stick drift means the resting value is large enough that the game registers it as input, so your character creeps when your thumb is nowhere near the stick. A resting value under ~0.05 is healthy, 0.1–0.2 is early drift, and above ~0.2 the stick module is usually worn.

Works with Xbox, PlayStation (DualSense / DualShock) and Switch Pro controllers. Everything runs client-side.
